Please check your students' binders daily along with their agendas.  Please look for any graded work and discuss it with your child.

Skills Update

In Language Arts we have been working on writing topic sentences.  We have also discussed run-on sentences, and the two ways you can fix them in your own writing.  We will have an assessment over this skill on Tuesday.

In math we have been working on solving and answering contextual problems in complete sentences.

Sentences!

We have been learning about the four types of sentences in Language Arts this week.  We will be having an assessment on Friday (8/16) over this information.

In math, we have been discussing number forms and place value.

Parent Meeting

There is a fourth grade parent meeting on Monday August 13 from 5:30-6:30.

Back to School!

It's already that time of year again!  I love the start of a new school year with new students, new goals, and new things to discover.  I am so excited to have all of my students in my class.  I look forward to meeting all of you on Registration Night, Monday August 6.  If you've already bought your supplies, feel free to bring them.  Our first day will be Wednesday August 8.  Remember there is a new start time this year (8:30), and the first day will be a half day.  I can't wait to see all of your smiling faces!

Almost There!

We are almost done with school!  Our last day is Thursday May 24.  This will be a half day.  Students will need to come to school to receive their report card.  If they owe money for lunch or library books, or if there are any textbooks missing, a student will not receive their grade card.

There will be no spelling words until after TCAP.
